(interference) right & moral duty

The common citizen is he allowed to say something about the progress of sciences, and about the orientation of the researches ?
Axel Khan said that the committees of ethics will never replace the democratic consciousness.
Don't we have the moral duty to feel concerned as well as the experts ? Don't we have to require to be informed about the present or predictable impacts of every technological development ?

aperçu dans la presse ce 8 juin 2008 ...
 - que les consultants informatiques apprennent bien le nouveau langage destiné à catéchiser les décideurs du marché global ... mais en quoi le fait de robotiser les prises de décisions et la production logicielle serait-il un progrès louable de l'humanité ?
 moi je dirais plutôt :
" le foutaisionnel nous lobobotomise ! "
